    the majority of the description.
Born in 1931 of mixed Santa Clara and Pojoaque heritage as Maria D. Vigil, Minnie Vigil is the sister of Gloria (Goldenrod) Garcia, Thelma Talachy and Lois Gutierrez de la Cruz.  Like her sisters, Minnie grew up learning the fundamentals of the traditional way of making pottery from their mother, Petra Montoya Gutierrez.  She began making pottery in 1955 and won her first award at the Santa Fe Indian Market in 1975 and continued to win many awards there through 1986 in recognition of her fine workmanship.  Her work has been exhibited from 1975 through 1998 at many museums including the Heard Collection.  She has also been featured in many publications.  Minnie specialized in polychrome wares, some slipped in red clay and stone polished, some slipped in matte tan clay and not polished.  Minnie typically signs her pieces as Minnie, Santa Clara.  Because of her high experience level and craftsmanship, she is recognized as one of the finest makers of Polychrome pottery wares at Santa Clara Pueblo.  Talent and craftmanship ran in Minnie's family, her son Tim "Sunbird" Vigil and daughter Annette Vigil also made pottery in the 1980's

    Shipping
    PLEASE READ:
Shipping is defaulted to USPS or FedEx.
You can change it to USPS, FedEx or UPS
.  Look to see the various prices.  They can vary greatly.
When creating the shipping label, I will compare the shipping options.
If I can save you substantial
    $$$
by using a different shipping method, I will choose that method and refund you unless you immediately specify you want the vendor chosen.
Upon winning, if you want an invoice with your options and actual cost, please message us and request it.
If you absolutely want the method you chose, please immediately message us to let us know.
In many cases, our cost comes out lower than the quoted price.  If that happens more than a dollar or two, we will refund you the difference.  (We are charged fees for the refund and bookkeeping is a nightmare.)
Sometimes, the eBay quote is really close.  Rest assured, we try to get as close to possible on the shipping without costing us money.
We DO NOT ship to ANY 3rd party forwarder or 3rd party warehouse shippers who provide overseas forwarding.  Per eBay POLICY and for mutual protection we ONLY ship to your PayPal verified address on file.
    2022 SHIPPING UPDATE PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!
Every year shipping carriers adjust their rates. For your convenience, we’re providing a snapshot of each carrier’s rate changes at this time:
    USPS® shipping rates—increasing 3.1%-8.8%
    FedEx® shipping rates—increasing 5.9%-6.9%
UPS® rates on eBay Labels—no increase at this time (AS OF 1-1-2002)
In addition, normal shipping rates increase every year by all carriers during the holiday season (Oct. - Feb).  In addition, some providers are now charging surcharges for oversized packages.  Be sure to look at all listed options to see best price.  It is not necessarily the first one listed.
(If we underestimate the box size or weight, we eat the difference.) The price you see reflects OUR shipping discount (seller level perk) rather than the retail price.  The discount varies by location, size and weight so there is no way for us to predict it.
Be sure to look at the difference in price by selecting each service type for the estimate.
When Listing, we are forced to guess at the weight and size of the box before it's even packed.  We don't package it until it is sold in case there are combined orders or additional questions requiring more photos so we have no way of actually knowing final weight or insurance cost until sold.
We DOUBLE BOX (with a peanut buffer) 99% of our POTTERY and most other items except jewelry, which gets its own special treatment.
We've had many, many elated customers who received a severely damaged, partially crushed, wet, pierced, etc. OUTER box but found their item safe and sound in the INNER box. We use appropriate crush-strength boxes and do not skimp on packing materials.
We do not buy cheap tape, we use gift tissue, bubble wrap and popcorn, FRAGILE and GLASS stickers and other appropriate materials for items requiring extra careful packing for non-damaging shock absorption from transit abuse. Nothing worse than a beautiful irreplaceable one-of-a-kind damaged item.  We recycle materials whenever possible to be environmentally friendly.
NOTE: Because eBay doesn’t have a place to show insurance costs, we are forced to put them in as Shipping and Handling fee.  We are not adding a handling fee to your item.  This is only to cover our cost for insurance as we do not ship anything without it.  Insurance does not cover theft.  Be sure to watch for your delivery if it is being delivered to a place where it can be stolen, like a porch.
FOR SECURE DELIVERY AND INSURANCE PURPOSES, WE MEET AND SURPASS ALL USPS, FED-EX & UPS MINIMUM PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS.*
    *  PSA:  Many buyers think that solely because they buy insurance, a claim will be paid if an item is damaged.  ALL carriers have MINIMUM packaging guidelines shown on their websites for insurance coverage.  If these are not adhered to a claim will be denied and you'll have to hope a seller will take responsibility for their inadequate packaging and will refund you without a big hassle, filing a case and getting eBay involved.
We normally ship within 1 business day of payment.  However, due to the current conditions, we are asking for up to 3 days to ship your item.  If there is a need to send it right away, please email us and let us know.  If you want special instructions for the carrier, let us know immediately so we can add that to the label.  We pack overly well and mail your package as quickly as possible.  Beyond that we (nor any other seller) have ZERO control or responsibility over ANY carriers actual time of package in transit (ESPECIALLY during YEARLY holiday delays when ALMOST all guaranteed delivery times are invalidated across the board regardless of what you paid for/requested), misdirected packages or other ineptness. If necessary, once the allowed time per carrier elapsed time policies and shipping method, we will always follow-up, CALL and file tracers.
We do monitor daily progress on all packages as we are far from apathetic. WE CARE. EVERYONE matters.  So, should some delay occur, please be patient and know we are on it and just as frustrated as you are.  We've never had a package lost in 24 years.  We are not liable for packages left on doors and stolen.  Insurance does not cover it.
If you require a personal signature, please notify us BEFORE paying so we can send an accurate invoice.  Even this is no guarantee as some providers have opted to sign for you that they left it (a lot of good that does).
    Payment
Please pay within 3 days of the end of auction.
    ALL SALES FINAL
