    stoneware incense box / kogo (used in Japanese tea ceremony),
    faceted square box with canted corners,
    painted with abstracted design “autumn leaves
    (
    motif of Reeds?)” in iron red and and light and rich green glaze, some surfaces with grey glaze,
    or unglazed, it’s so naive shape and decoration with a so natural beauty, the base unglazed.
    It’s in very fine condition, it measures 2.25" h. to top of finial handle, 1.5" w, and 1.5" d.
