Rare antique Georgian pinchbeck bracelet clasp with agate - for parts or repair

This is such a beautiful piece -- I just wish I had seen the rest of it.
Unfortunately, it is only the decorative side of the clasp.  I always meant to take it to a jeweler and have it reworked. Oh, well.  Now it's someone else's turn.
Just as it is, it is a wonderful piece of jewelry history.  You can tell why Pinchbeck was so successful with his formula for faux gold.  After two hundred years, it is still lustrous yellow.
The long cabochon agate is multiple shades of brown and white.
The functional underside appears to be gilded, and there is wear to the edges of this part.
There is minimal, if any, wear to the finish on the front.
