    Description:
    This Natsume is made of wood, Urushi (=japan) and powder of real gold and silver.
    The decorated theme or design is based on the old Japanese tale "Shio-Kumi (汐汲み)".
    You can imagine "Plovers (on the back of the lid) flying over sea waves.
    The Chinese characters on the lid is "Matsu-Kaze (松風)", i.e. wind go thru pine trees along sea coast.
    .
    Made by a prominent artisan, Shuho Kumagai (熊谷秀穂) born in 1940, using only high quality materials.
    Please review the enclosed photographs, you would recognize his superb job.
    It is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or marks. White (shining) parts on photographs are reflection of lightening, i.e. not an issue.
