This is a Japanese Traditional Lacquer Tea caddy
SPRING and Autumn Flowers makie with Mother-of-pearl work
*KURO GAKI
Octagon shaped Openwork Chaki.
*KURO GAKI / 黒柿: striped ebony from one of the hundreds of varieties of persimmon trees.
There are 8 spring and autumn flowers makie (3 flowers makie are decorated with Mother-of-pearl work) on the octagon face. By changing the faces, you can enjoy each flowers makie.

This piece of measures: 2.244 inched (5.7 cm) in diameter.  3.149 inched (8 cm) in height.
The base material is KURO GAKI.
