Franklin, VERMONT - PENNANT - 1920: This White Border Era postcard is of rural scene near Franklin, a town on the Canadian border in Franklin County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,268 at the 2000 census. The original name was Huntsburgh but the name was changed to Franklin in 1817. There was a Morse's Line border crossing to Canada in the town during daylight hours. In 2010, traffic was about 5 vehicles every two hours. The US Government decided to close it. The card shows some soiling and edge wear.
