Description
A rare find! Ca.1920s Tesuque American Indian Pottery goauch hand painted pottery boat. This was one of the first models to be made for the Route 66 trade - Fred Harvey era of important collectible souvenirs. These were amongst the first to be sold in ca 1920s made for the early railroad tourist trade. It is in very good condition with minor paint loss to be expected given its age. Measurement: 6 1/8" long, 1 1/2" high, 1 7/8" width. The Tesuque pueblo is located outside of Santa Fe. Displayed carefully in room without sunlight in glass curio cabinet for years. No fading. Liquidating a three generation estate of fine collectibles. It would look fantastic in just about any home.
