antique tea caddy

antique Japanese tea caddy in the shape of an eggplant.
screw off stem top. inside pull out lid.
carved scene with Mt Fuji in background and kanji on one side.
measures about a little over 5.5 inches tall.
age unknown but seems to be 19th century.
Color seems to have faded quite a bit.  The underneath sections corresponding to the stem are a deep dark purple compared with the lighter browner exposed wood.
some wear and rub to the bottom as shown.
maybe one old waterspot on reverse (non carved side).
overall in excellent condition. no chips, cracks, or breaks detected.
box has some signs of age, toning and some scrapes and scuffs.
has been only gently cleaned
some areas and spots of oxidation, soiling may remain as pictured.
