AISI 1045 Steel Square Bar Stock 19inL x 1inW x 1inT - Good Condition

Description

Originally bought from McMaster-Carr. Likely of domestic melt origin. The stock is good condition remnant of a larger 3ft size.
Measurements are as follows:
Length: just over 19in
Width: 1in square
This 1045 bar stock meets ASTM A108 and A29 standards.
This steel can be quenched to the upper 59-60 HRC with a cold water bath (do only for simple shapes!). That allows you to make tools from 1045 steel. Please note case depth for carbon steels is generally less than 1mm.
