1953 Cadillac Pedal Pad (Brake ?) Used Orig 53

1953 Cadillac
Pedal Pad
Pedal pad found amongst a collection of '53 Cadillac parts. I believe it is brake.
Piece looks to be a used original, with a part number (1440503) stamped on the back.
Condition is good for its age, with some wear. There are a few small splits on the side edging on the back, but they would not affect installation.
