1862 Indian Head Cent AU++ Double Die Obverse/ Re-punched date - PL Reverse Superb Reverse Toner. This coin shows many features of a proof coin especially with the reverse of the coin being such a prominent strike, a true expert or grading service could only authenticate that subjective opinion. With such a well minted coin from a solid strike the details on the Obv are stunning for the age of the coin, the Rev looks like it was minted yesterday and the toning on both Obv and Rev are of all shades welcomed by a copper coin.This is truly a one off coin with the toning and with the variety’s it will attract the attention of all serious collectors and dealers.
