    Description

    From the research that I did at appears that this Stereo View Card dates back to the Civil War period of the 1860's. This photo shows the Capitol at a time when the gold leaf is missing from the dome so it was evidently in the process of being redone. Card is in exceptional shape. Image is sharp. Ad label for Frank F. Currier on the back is complete and numbered 42.
