    Description

    17-4 PH (Precipitation-Hardening) aka Alloy 630, is a martensitic stainless steel that gets its name from the chromium content (approx 17 percent) and the nickel content (approx 4 percent) and provides an outstanding combination of high strength, good corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties at temperatures up to 600 F, good toughness in both base metal and welds. Commonly used in the aerospace, chemical, petrochemical, food processing, paper and general metalworking industries.
